Dedication > Building
Black Family Visual Arts Center
The latest addition to Dartmouth College’s Arts District, the 105,000-square-foot structure contains classrooms, art galleries, a screening room and theater, production studios, and offices.
The design for the solicitation and invitation featured the textures of the building’s unique materials, including its rich bronze-hued Norwegian slate, cast-concrete panels patterned with wood grain, screens of punched metal, and windows etched with organic imagery. The palette and design were incorporated in the large standing fabric pillars and banners constructed for the dedication.
